JAZZ CROSSING THE BORDER
Governor Doug Ducey Meets With Sonora Governor Claudia Pavlovich
Governor Doug Ducey met with the governor of Sonora, Claudia Pavlovich, to discuss their visions and goals for building a thriving international partnership. Also present at the meeting were the executive leadership of International Jazz Day Foundation and key members of Governor Pavlovich’s team.
The governor has been keenly focused on expanding Arizona’s presence in Mexico, particularly in Sonora, and on identifying new opportunities to enhance economic development, grow enterprise and increase bilateral trade and tourism between the two states.
“I’m proud of the emphasis we’ve been placing on boosting Arizona’s ties with our largest international partner. It’s a relationship that stands to benefit both of our states if we work together to promote our region and capitalize on opportunities to make it stronger,” said Governor Ducey. “I’m encouraged that Governor Pavlovich shares my commitment to this important partnership, and I look forward to her friendship as we work to make Arizona and Sonora premier places to live, work and do business.”
